As a Bid Manager in our Extended Scope team, you’ll champion sales projects that go beyond our own gas turbines, enabling Siemens Energy to win projects that would otherwise be out of reach. How You’ll Make an Impact
* Prepare competitive bids in sales projects where additional equipment in addition to our own manufactured gas turbine is requested (e.g. major bought out equipment such as heat recovery steam generators, steam turbines, other BoP equipment or a combination thereof).
* Independently lead technical bid efforts and bid team members consisting of different fields within the company and from external partners.
* Lead efforts to review customer specifications, define technical configuration and scope of supply, source and aggregate project cost estimates and as well as project specific exceptions and clarifications.
* Lead and coordinate the technical risk and opportunity management within your bid projects.
* Lead technical clarification meetings with our customers and contribute with technical expertise in commercial customer negotiations.
* The work is conducted in close collaboration with Siemens Energy's local and global sales community and other technical and execution field experts.
* The position includes international business trips which frequency and duration may vary depending on the actual sales situation and to certain degree on personal preferences.

What You Bring
* Engineering degree, preferably a Master's (Mechanical, Electrical or similar) or equivalent experience
* Experience and technical knowledge of energy production equipment and its specifics that’s been gained via a detailed background in either gas turbine-, steam turbine- or combined cycle power plant business or similar experience acquired elsewhere, preferably from bid-, engineering- or project management.
* You are experienced to work with scope that is engineered to meet customer’s specific project needs.
* You are analytical, curious to learn and have experience to work independently under own leadership as well as to lead others.
* You are familiar in techno-commercial topics and understand how they influence the bid and order execution.
* You have a strong drive to succeed, good communication skills, and a customer-focused approach. This enables you to effectively collaborate with partners from different regions and backgrounds.
* You are proficient in English. Swedish language skill is a merit.

The team currently consist of 15 colleagues including Thermodynamic Engineers and Bid Managers. You will belong to a global Bid Management organization that is represented in Singapore, China, Austria, the U.S., the U.K., Thailand, Spain and in Sweden. We are looking for a new colleague to join our Bid Management team within Extended Scope to support our sales projects. The Bid Manager is a key position in the organization and is a major contributor to support the company’s order intake and profitability.

Bid Management, Extended Scope, has over the past years contributed to significant increased order intake for Siemens Energy AB and enabled gas turbine sales to projects that we otherwise would not have been able to address without Extended Scope.

 

How You’ll Make an Impact

You are working with sales projects in an international environment together with colleagues from regional sales offices in various location such as Singapore, Dubai, Beijing or Orlando. Together with your colleagues in Sales, Bid Management and other disciplines within the organisation you develop technical bids that suit our customers’ requirements and fits our products and solutions.

Bid manager is a key position in the organisation and you will develop relations with all central functions within the company.

How you will make an impact

As Bid Manager you are exposed to a big variety of technical- and commercial aspects that few others can offer, such as:
* You lead the work with producing profitable technical solutions based on Siemens Energy standard that fulfil customer requests

Some 60 dedicated colleagues are working in Bid Management in Finspång. In the Power generation team where you will work we are 26 men and women of all ages. The other teams within Bid managent are specialized in Gas Turbine Extended Scope, FEED, Oil&Gas; and Heat pumps.

Arbetsuppgifter och ansvarsområden

Inom Business Administration för offertframtagning av verksamhetens produkter kommer du som Commercial Proposal Manager att ha ditt fokus på området olja & gas. Du kommer dagligen att vara en central del av försäljnings- och offertavdelningarna med kontakter i Finspång och runt om i världen, och arbeta med administration och framtagning av offertdokument inom försäljningsprojekten. Säljprocessen kan i sin helhet ta flera år till en vunnen order. Ditt fokus kommer att vara den del av processen som börjar med att beslut tagits att en fast offert ska göras till dess att avslut och överlämning till projektgenomförandeorganisationen sker.

Arbetsuppgifterna innebär i huvudsak:

Att stödja Commercial Sales Managers som sitter fysiskt antingen i Finspång eller på något av våra säljkontor ute i världen med framtagande av offertdokumentation och underliggande kalkyler, exv:

- Administration och framtagande av avtalsdokument till så väl interna som externa kunder
- Framtagande av kostnadsinformation och kontroll av ej produktspecifika kostnader
- Finansiella kostnader i kalkyler, såsom projektspecifika valutakurser
- Siemens interna överenskommelser med bolag i det land som installation av gas turbinerna ska ske


Att stödja Proposals Managers med uppdelning av kostnadskalkyler beroende på vald kontraktsstruktur

Att följa upp och analysera kostnader i samband med offertframtagning, jämförelser mellan produkter, marknader och även att föra statistik för valda KPI relaterat till offerterna

Arbetet omfattar även till viss del att aktivt arbeta med vidareutveckling av verksamheten med huvudfokus på offertframtagning och processer i verksamheten.

Din profil

Vi söker Dig som:

- Har intresse för att utvecklas i en utmanande miljö med möjlighet till internationella kontakter.
- Har ett intresse för internationell handel samt kunna sammanställa och åskådliggöra större datamängder på ett överskådligt sätt.
- Har erfarenhet av liknande arbetsuppgifter.
- Har en utbildning inom exempelvis internationell ekonomi, Affärsjuridik med ekonomiskt intresse alternativt civilingenjör med ekonomiskt intresse eller annan likvärdig bakgrund.


Som person är du resultatorienterad, strukturerad samt har ett konsekvent förhållningssätt till komplexa frågor. Goda kunskaper i engelska, både tal och skrift, är en förutsättning, och övriga språk är meriterande. Verksamheten har kunder över hela världen, du bör därför tycka att det är intressant och stimulerande med andra kulturer.

Siemens Energy AB utvecklar och tillverkar världsledande gasturbiner och ångturbiner för en global marknad. Företaget levererar även kompletta turbinbaserade kraftanläggningar för långsiktigt hållbar och kostnadseffektiv produktion av elektricitet, ånga och värme. Turbinerna säljs även som drivkällor för kompressorer och pumpar, främst inom olje- och gasindustrin. En omfattande serviceorganisation täcker alla levererade produkter och anläggningssystem. På Siemens arbetar 2 800 personer, merparten i Finspång och ca 120 i Trollhättan. Företaget omsätter ca 10 miljarder kronor om året.

Dina arbetsuppgifter
I rollen som offertspecialist kommer du att vara en aktiv del av försäljnings- och offertavdelningarna, med kontakter i Finspång och runt om i världen på daglig basis. Säljprocessen kan i sin helhet ta flera år till en vunnen order. Ditt fokus kommer att vara den del av processen som börjar med att beslut tagits att en fast offert ska göras, till dess att avslut och överlämning till projektgenomförandeorganisationen sker.

Arbetsuppgifterna innebär i huvudsak att stödja Commercial Sales Managers med framtagande av offertdokumentation och underliggande kalkyler. Även administration och framtagande av avtalsdokument, kostnadsinformation och kontroll av ej produktspecifika kostnader till så väl interna som externa kunder ingår i arbetsuppgifterna.

Det ingår även att följa upp och analysera kostnader i samband med offertframtagning, jämförelser mellan produkter, marknader och även att föra statistik för valda KPI relaterat till proposals. Arbetet omfattar även till viss del att aktivt arbeta med vidareutveckling av verksamheten med huvudfokus på offertframtagning och LoA process inom affärsenhet IGT.

Din profil
Vi söker dig som har intresse för att utvecklas i en utmanande miljö med möjlighet till internationella kontakter. Du behöver ha ett intresse för internationell handel samt kunna sammanställa och åskådliggöra större datamängder på ett överskådligt sätt. Som person ser vi att du är resultatorienterad, strukturerad samt har ett konsekvent förhållningssätt till komplexa frågor.

För att trivas i rollen och leva upp till förväntningarna ser vi att du;
• Har utbildning inom internationell ekonomi, Affärsjuridik med ekonomiskt intresse, alternativt civilingenjör med ekonomiskt intresse eller annan likvärdig bakgrund.
• Det är meriterande med erfarenhet av liknande arbetsuppgifter.
• Goda kunskaper i engelska i både tal och skrift är en förutsättning för tjänsten, övriga språk är meriterande.
